PHUKET, THEY SAY, is paradise on earth. The simple pleasures of warm tropical weather, white, powdery beaches, crystal clear water with brilliant coral and pyschedelically coloured fish, complimented by some of the most sophisticated dining, entertainment, activities and accommodation in the world. This is a wonderful place to take a vacation or to live.

But not everything is perfect in this paradise. There are children who go to school in broken shoes and hand-me-down clothes; far too many people die needlessly on the roads; much of the island’s historical heritage is crumbling and neglected; there are troubling environmental problems; and much of the island’s culture and art receives no support.

This is where the PCF hopes to make a difference – with your help. We can’t do it on our own. We need people with ideas, and the energy and organisational abilities to bring those ideas to fruition. We need technical experts who can offer free advice. We need cheerful volunteers to pitch in and help in their spare time and, yes, we need generous donors.

So if you are the kind of person who wants to make a difference in Phuket, to make Paradise even better, please take the time to browse our website, get familiar with our concepts and aims, and then let us know who you are and how you want to help.
