Coconut Oil
The entire process is currently done by hand.
This group, based in Rawai, have a small building in a garden where they turn out high quality “extra virgin” coconut oil. They also make coconut soap. The process is done entirely by hand, and we believe the project meets Fair Trade qualifications.
Already, one website selling high-quality natural health products has expressed interest. But this is a small operation and needs help in a number of ways:
Funding. The PCF made a grant of B9,800 to the group to buy a freezer so that products can be kept fresh longer. They need a further B22,000 for other equipment to boost productivity and bring down prices.
Design. The PCF believes that the group would benefit from good label design. Graphic artists or marketing people who would like to help would be very welcome.
Sales. The products are really very good. So buy some.
