PCF Race Day 2011: Racers wanted!!

Hang on - which way's the finish line?
The first PCF Race Day, in November 2009, at Laguna Phuket, was a great success, particularly the Great Phuket Rubber Duck Race, the first such charity race held in Thailand.
So we’re going to do it again! And this time it will be bigger and better, of course.
So mark your calendar: PCF Race Day, January 23, 2011, at Latitude, in Laguna Phuket.
We’ll have dragon boat races, kayak races, a home-made raft race and a cardboard box race for kids (last one to sink is the winner…)
We’ll have rides in classic cars, a trampoline, arts and crafts for quiet kids, a Delightful Duckling costume contest, a dance show, a band, a terrific magic show by Joe Conrad, and much, much more. Plus, of course, food and drinks at very reasonable prices.
The highlight will be the 2nd Great Phuket Rubber Duck Race. This time we’ll launch 2,000 ducks. The prizes are amazing – the biggest one so far is worth a stunning US$27,000 – that’s around 800,000 baht! See here for pix of the 2009 duck race.
If you’re the active, competitive type (or not so active, but you like a good laugh), sign up for one of the races here.
And if you don’t want to race but you’re a good-hearted person who likes helping out, sign up as a volunteer by emailing your name, email address and mobile number to our manager, Roongprakai.
We’re still putting the whole thing together, so check back here from time to time for updates, especially after the official launch later this month.
