PCF Social Mapping project almost complete

social-map1The Social Mapping project, the most extensive project so far carried out on behalf of the Phuket Community Foundation, is now almost complete.

The researchers who were commissioned to carry out this survey were asked to look at a variety of aspects of life in Phuket and identify problems, possible solutions and the priorities the PCF will set for itself.

The initial report is a weighty document – a work of great thoroughness undertaken by the Phattanasak Consultant Team of behalf of the PCF – and will take some time to digest, but we are happy to share it with anyone who feels it might be useful to them. Many of the conclusions will chime with those who call Phuket home, though there are also some surprising findings.

The report will take us some time to digest. We have also asked for the researchers to pursue answers to follow-up questions from us.

The final results will be available to anyone once we receive them.

    Sawsdee and Aloha Alasdair,

Please send me a copy of the Phuket Social Mapping project once it is completed. I prefer an electronic vrsion of you have one – save paper.

Also, my 2010 Phang Nga Bay Clean up is actually Dec. 29 and 30, perhas 28 as well. We will have 84 PSU-Phuket students. If anybody else want to join in they are welcome. Since I am still homeless since picking up the tab on the entire five days last year, donations of B1,250/person are appreciated but not demanded. (The hotel chains who claimed to be “Eco” all claimed poverty last year).

Thanks – love to be involved with you, so just ask. If I have the time I am yours.

    Hi there,

I need some help – my company organize corporate functions and offer event management. We have a large group(380 persons) coming to Phuket for 5 days, they will do activities every day but one day in particular they want to do an activity involving CSR – Corporate social responsibility, they are looking at doing something really productive for one day i.e. paint a school or build classrooms, visit a orphanage …

Do you have a list op projects pending or scheduled program for 2012? the group arrival is not yet finalized so i can not give any dates at the moment. There is a planing team arriving in Feb so sit and discuss options so it would be great to have some projects to mention to see what they think.

Hope you can assist, I look forward to hear from you soon.

    Best Regards

    Justin
